Canine Companion Class- basic Obedience Training
Basic obedience instruction designed to teach humans positive dog training skills to develop a lifelong, trusting relationship with your Canine partner. We teach this in the real world and have found that dogs and their people learn faster and have more fun that doing all of the training in the ring. Basic skills to help make your dog a great pet.
Come when called, sit, stay, down , walk on leash when in public. Have fun taking your dog with you to events and be the example of a responsible pet owner.
AKC CGC (Canine Good Citizen) and Canine Good Citizen Urban (CGCU)testing.
All teams that complete the basic class are invited to test for the AKC CGC & CGCU titles. AKC title testing is include in the price of your class. AKC charges a fee to register your test.
What do I bring with me to my obedience lessons?
#1- A positive attitude and a will to learn how to help your dog learn great behaviors
Things to bring: flat buckle collar and 6 ft leash, poop bags, high value soft treats, a journal and pen/pencil, a bowl & water for your dog.
AKC CGC & CGCU test fee is waived for CFDS Obedience students. Watch for posted test dates ( usually 2-3 per year)
